Chew Quietly /Clean Slate
Megan Nash

Megan Nash's newest music video titled "Chew Quietly/Clean Slate" from her upcoming album "Soft Focus Futures". Filmed in Regina, SK in July 2021, we were approached by Megan to create a music video which incorporated modern dance (choreographed by Misty Wensel) captured through a single long-take. Director Amy Mantyka worked with Megan and Misty to create Megan's evocative performance while the camera and lighting (operated and lit by Director of Photography Mike Maekelburger) weaves through the concrete walkways of a dark, liminal space.

The Filmmaker

Amy Mantyka is Play Creative’s director, bringing her extensive background in performance to the screen. She constantly strives to coax uncompromisingly fantastic performances out of all actors, all while being the life of the party (life of the office?). Her dedication towards her craft and efforts towards making actors and interviewees comfortable go a long way towards creating a fantastic video. When she’s not in the office, she’s often acting or improvising! Amy is a member of ACTRA, and she is also a part of the Warehouse District Board.
